I am only nineteen years old and was recently involved in a car accident. The police came to the scene and determined that neither I nor the other driver were at fault. Yet, as required by state law, we had to exchange names, addresses and insurance information. I just found out today that the other driver went home and called my insurance company and they paid her claim. The police determined I didn’t do anything wrong so I can’t believe they gave her any money. I am now looking for another insurance company. I am trying to find out now if any offer young drivers car insurance at a discounted rate. My driving record is perfect and I don’t think I should have to pay for my insurance company’s error.
