Many college students want or need to work while attending college.  Even if tuition, board and books are paid for. They may want money for clothes and entertainment. That is where jobs during college comes in.  Students can bar tend at night (if old enough) or become a waiter or waitress at the local restaurant.  Some work in the school library or cafeteria.  Still others perform an internship in the department for which they are studying.  Others work at a local pizza shop.  Still other college students prefer to work online and do some writing on the side. Whatever, the position, they are earning some money while going to school.
