This is the only project in the region to feature in the 2012 Cultural Olympiad, a programme of events running alongside the sporting Olympics to celebrate the creative work of young people in the UK.

The film will highlight the role that football plays in the lives of the young people in Brighton and a group of young people from Mali where Albion in the Community coaches and museum staff visited earlier this year. The Brighton group, aged between 16 and 22 are drawn from youth services across the beautiful city.

Albion stars Inigo Calderon and Adam El Abd took time out from a busy playing schedule to be interviewed by youngsters as part of the film project led by local documentary film maker Michael Bentham.Hazel Welch, Brighton Museum and Art Galley, youth engagement officer said, “We wanted to engage young people in Brighton with the museum and at the same time compare their experiences of football with the experiences of young people from a different culture and different part of the world.”
