I have been with my wonderful wife Margret Ruby Blacksmith for more than fifty years now. We have gone through so much together and I really could not imagine sharing my life with any other person. To celebrate the fantastic five decades that we have spent together, I am going to surprise her with tickets for a cruise down the Danube River, which I plan to present to her during our celebratory dinner with our friends and family members next Friday. I hope she is as thrilled about the trip as I am! I am hoping to bring a little tear to her eye.

I have always felt that it is important to do something nice for ourselves once in a while and this is why I like to splurge when I can. My husband asked me if I wanted to get away for a weekend and I told him that I would love to. We made reservations at one of the most luxurious of all of the San Francisco Hotels and we had an amazing time. It was awesome to be surrounded by luxury and I also loved the pampering.

I am a writer for the local newspaper. I have recently been in charge of doing two jobs inside of one. Our guy that records foreign exchange is going to be out on vacation for the next several weeks. I am covering his job while he is gone. The problem with doing his job is that it cannot be done in advance. I am usually able to get everything done inside of a ten hour work day, but sometimes I have to go longer.
