Satellite Has Come a Long Way Since 1962

January 25th, 2012 by admin

It’s fascinating how a DISH satellite TV system can take programs from the other side of the world and deliver them to my television by bouncing them off of satellites that are set up in the atmosphere. I can remember when the first satellite television signal was relayed from Europe to North America in 1962. Most people were astonished that it actually worked. It was magic at the time. It is amazing how far it has developed since that first broadcast. Today we can receive unlimited channels from around the world. It sure has brought the world closer together through satellite communication.
