If you’ve suffered from repossession before, it will be harder for you to get approved for a car loan from a legitimate lender. Of course, there are still ways for you to get a loan. First, ensure that the repossession is at least one to two years ago. Build up your credit by getting a secured loan or unsecured credit card and pay them on time. Finally, make sure that the previous repossession has been totally paid off. With secured Car Loans, the lenders usually sell off the repossessed vehicle to cover the cost of the loan. If the sale price is not enough to cover the loan, you are still responsible for the remaining amount. Make sure to have it paid off before you apply for a new one.
