Shapes of Slow Cookers

July 29th, 2010 by admin

Before I bought my slow cooker, I considered why they offer variety of shapes and sizes of the slow cookers. As round was always the size, I thought that’s the best slow cookers. But to my surprise, they weren’t categorized in that way. On my research about these slow cookers, I found out that different shapes and sizes of slow cookers have different style of cooking. For oval-shaped, they are mostly for cooking or roasting meat because of its’ larger surface area, whereas the round-shaped, is mostly for cooking stews or soups. Now the question comes in on whether what we cook most for.
