The modern artificial Christmas trees were produced first in the United States using aluminum. Later when the usage of plastic became widespread, plastics were used to manufacture the artificial trees. PVC was the mostly used plastic for the purpose. Still the trend continues and these plastics are recyclable. Most plastic Christmas trees are made of recycled material. These plastics are not bio degradable. A later tree was made of fiber optic cables. In addition to these major raw materials, there are small table top trees made of cardboard and paper also. Even Ceramic is used to make beautiful decorative trees for table tops.
