Bell peppers are a botanical oddity – technically they’re fruit, but we tend to eat them as vegetables because they’re not really sweet. In FarmVille, therefore, the Bell Peppers are classed as Fruit and growing them helps you to work towards gaining your Fruit-related ribbons and not the vegetable ones.

Bell Peppers take two days to ripen, and harvesting each square nets you 2 XP (experience points) and 198 coins. They ripen to bright yellow, which injects a nice spot of color into your farm. If you’re in a hurry for some cash then consider growing the red Peppers instead – they take 1 day to ripen and each square is worth 162 coins, but you can get two harvests in two days rather than just one.
