If your insulation is lacking then you will know it pretty quickly when weather becomes more severe. Cold air will permeate the home and you won’t be able to fight it off with your central heat and air conditioner, at least not easily or in a way that maintains a constant temperature. Insulation is this dormant ability to trap air in and out of the home to help you get the most out of your generated conditioned air (hot or cold) but more importantly it blocks out the cold and hot temperatures that would make you uncomfortable. Good insulation solves problems like this, lack of it causes problems.
