It is not that I do not know people in my area, I really do but when it comes to babysitting I have children with special needs so I need a special person who has experience. Because I do know people in the area though I can do my initial screening on sittercity but then I do my best to look for outside references. I will not leave my child alone with just anybody, and I am sure that I am not alone in that feeling. So it is nice to get a good solid start to my search and then do the rest myself.
