When my children left the innocence of their early childhood years and headed straight into the tumultuous world of middle school, I knew that I had to keep up.  One of the areas that concerned me most was their constant use of technology, especially cell phones and computers.  I found myself unable to understand what they were using, and therefore unable to make good decisions about whether or not it was appropriate.  In order to fix this problem, I enrolled in some online college computer courses.  Now, not only can I keep up with my kids, but they come to me for advice about certain technological gadgets.  My hard work paid off exactly as I wanted it to as I am more involved in their lives than ever.
