There are specific states that require registration and certification to degree students interested to work in restaurant management especially in travel. Some of these states are California, Illinois, Iowa, Ohio, Oregon, Rhode Island and Washington. Although there are no Federal licensing requirements for this degree, these states highly require certification. One way to get this certification is to contact the Institute of Certified Travel Agents (ICTA) and get the full information on the requirements and the process on how to be registered and certified. Restaurant management degree holders should inquire from ICTA as early as possible to be able to pursue any higher careers.
