Who writes the Christmas thank you cards in your house?  Most people depend on the mom to do it but actually it should fall on the person who received the gift.  You can get the whole family involved and send the notes together as a family.  The younger kids can draw a picture and each member of the family can write a few words or make suggestions on what to say.  My neighbor did this last year and it worked out well for her. Her family lives out of town so she had plenty of time to write with her husband and two children.
