Temple open 24 hours

September 27th, 2009 by admin

Years ago when we lived in Puyallup, Washington, our mormon temple not horribly far away had a special weekend when they were opened for 24 hours for three days. Each stake was assigned a special time to come and ours was given the 3am session. I didn’t even bother going to bed because it would be too hard to wake up, so I just played my guitar until my ride came for me. When we got to the mormon temple, I couldn’t believe how packed it was! I thought, “This is so silly. People don’t sacrifice to come during waking hours, but they all showed up in the middle of the night?” Maybe they should do that more often.
