When planning our 2010 summer vacation for the family, it occurred to me that it might be prudent to take a look at cruise packages well in advance.  Carnival cruise deals are significantly lower if one is ready and willing to take that step and plan ahead.  The prices offered approximately six months ahead are nearly $100 less for the suite than it might be for a shorter term reservation.  Naturally, there are many deals to be had on the basis of cancelled reservations for the last minute traveler but to have everything in place, one might consider thinking into the future.
