I have come to know that it is much easier to learn a lesson through someone else than to have to go through a difficult situation myself. For example, my brother is an avid traveler and told me to buy travel insurance direct when I travel. He told me a story of when he had a terrible asthma attack and had to be hospitalized. He didn’t have travel insurance at the time and was left with a huge bill. Plus, on top of that, his bag had been stolen and he had no way of recovering his losses. Now he has travel insurance so he is covered should anything like that happen again. Because of his experiences, I will always be sure to carry travel insurance.
